Panopto App Reviews

You can now login via Blackboard, and using Active Directory. The app works great, and allows students to now upload sessions from where ever they are if the have an Instructor created drop-box account! It makes content creation seamless, and easy for students, and truly makes the learning environment a technological one! Great job on the app guys!

Needs an actual iPad version. Hangs on loading video and will not play. App is sluggish even before trying to play a video

I used panopto to initiate a video capture on my iphone…but found panopto did not adjust to landscape mode…apparently it is stuck in portrait?! Im hoping you could incorporate smooth transitions to landscape mode?

I enjoy the ability to view lectures through the app on my iPhone. Irritated that the app logs me out whenever it wants to. Then I have to log back in through my school to access the videos.

The New Panopto app is a very good improvement over the previous app. This new version allows you to scroll through slides and follow tags on the left side just like watching the recordings through a normal browser. Visually and functionally this is a Great Improvement. Well done design team! Well done! Eric Dossey

Panopto for iPhone is fantastic.

I am on the Miami Dade College server and when I try to search for a item it crashes every time I have updated everything and it still crashes. It seems like it only uploads have of the folders for the college for example it uploads the folders that begin with A-G. So if I am trying to scroll through the folders and it is a nursing folder it will not show up. Please fix this other than that it is a fine application. If you fix this I will definitely give it a five but there are things that we cannot do that we should be able to do like save Folders.

Doesnt work on iPad, only works on iPhone. Even on the iPhone, the audio doesnt come through the external speaker, but rather through the earpiece. This app is junk!

It is nice to have access to the lectures but it would be nice to be able to pause or leave the app and come back to the same spot instead of having to search for it.

Would be nice to be able to listen at 1.25X/1.5X speed

I cannot listen to my lectures because it keeps crashing when loading them. Also when this is fixed it would be nice to increase the speed of playback.

This is a fantastic app to receive all of my lecture content videos on-the-go!

Hey Panopto folks … iPhone & iPad app are great but how about an app for the desktop??? It would be nice to have downloaded sessions saved on our computers instead of having to rely on having an internet connection to view lectures … just a thought

Great concept and very helpful....when accessible! I watch two minutes at a time and then it crashes. Would be 5 stars if it didnt crash

I used to be able to download podcasts from the panopto website for my classes and now thats not even an option. Therefore, I downloaded the app and now it wont even allow me to access those same recordings because I cant log in from the app. So yeah whats the point of using the panopto app if I can only log in to blackboard website and not the panopto files.

This is a great app. I can check the class as many times as I want. Even while taking a shower Im in the classroom.

It gets two stars for working 20% of the time. Sometimes it shows my lectures but other times no. Theres no logic behind why. Will be deleting it and using the mobile site.

cant even organize downloaded files

The desktop version has speeding up capabilities. They are badly needed on the mobile version! :(

Nothing works. Youre better off just using the browser. Just wastes time and space
